"This place is for GIANTS!"
The words reverberated in the recesses of Jesse's mind. Back to a room, hot and dark with yesterdays clothes clinging to the bedsheets. Socks playing Hansel and Gretel leading to the bathroom, a sort of twenty-first century breadcrumb trail.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, the coolness of the floor felt good, drawing out the heat out of his tired leathery souls.
"Three in the morning, what the hell am I doing awake? Normal people are sleeping, aren't they?
But what is normal?
Think about it. At this moment and for most of the night there's been a bucket load of people stumbling from one place to another, they sure know how to live - ha! All night picking up the shit everyone else leaves behind in places no one wants to be during their "Normal" time.
Spending most of their waking life in buildings with new and improved florescent lighting, thermal sensors that automatically control your comfort, (who needs real climate) 24 hour surveillance, call in dinners from anywhere at any time of day, use your phone to replace banking, writing, games, entertainment, family, friends, well really - everything.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram pick your poison, email alerts, live news feeds to post yourself on Youtube or stalk a friend. Minimal effort for maximum lies.
He was up, standing in front of the big white porcelain pew praying to the gods.
All of this seems so, he pauses for a long time before finishing for maximum effect, familiar.
Easing over to the sink, Jesse's right hand turns the tap while warm water cascades over the skin on his left.
He looks up to see a smiling reflection of himself speaking from inside the glass.
Jesse #2 begins to speak.
"VIRGA!"

“What? asked Jesse # 1.
"Virga. it's an observable streak or shaft of precipitation falling from a cloud that evaporates or sublimates before reaching the ground."
"I don’t understand. "
“It's the answer to the question.
"I'll bite, what question?"
"Life."
That's what it is, Vigra or something like it. It's that feeling of familiarity and chaos mixed into one.
The end result is ultimately the same, it's only the when that is the true question, the unknown, the now is the truly exciting part.
It's that feeling like you are part of something bigger than yourself, vaguely aware of it but it's just a blur in the horizon.
"Can't there be more?"
"Of course, there is always the possibility of being more. To become something different than yourself, the a droplet of water that gives life to another soul.
The combined sum of the total that changes life into a river that can move mountains.
If I were you, and I am, I'd watch myself grow, from creek-to-stream-to-River, take in all that you can from everywhere and everyone to grow yourself into a new form and live.
Live life because that is what we have.
You will always be you no matter what shape you take and I will always love you.
